The Relational Phase

The Guess-stational Phase The mystical thing about dreams is that they always begin by their absence! We know when we are dreamless, rudderless, or lost. But as you begin the Gestational Phase, you are exploring!  This is when audacity becomes autobiographical!
Give your dream the Gestational Time it needs. For some of us this time goes by quickly, and for some of us it takes years. Don’t worry: your dream will let you know when it is ready to be born.
The Relational Phase, where we live the dream—yet at some point, we must release it. We acknowledge that the dream now has its own path, and our role is to surrender, nourish, and stay tuned for what comes next. For in the end, we do not possess the dream—it possesses us.

Blending the World’s Wisdom into a Sacred Balm

Imagine the world as a vast kitchen, where each culture, spiritual tradition, and intellectual pursuit offers its own unique ingredients—some sweet, some bitter, some soothing, others invigorating. These are the ancient herbs of wisdom, each holding secrets of healing, guidance, and growth. The mortar and pestle, timeless tools found in every corner of the globe, symbolize the respectful and deliberate process of bringing these diverse elements together.

Since its inception in 2016, MedicineSinging™ has evolved from a simple platform focused on mental health and spiritual support into something much more profound. What began as a space for personal reflection and healing has transformed into a dynamic process of blending the world’s cultural, spiritual, and intellectual traditions. This evolution mirrors the action of grinding herbs in a mortar—an act that requires patience, care, and an understanding of each ingredient’s unique properties. Rather than diminishing the distinctiveness of these traditions, this process enhances their strengths, creating a rich, balanced elixir of collective wisdom—a potent medicine for the soul, mind, and body.

But healing, like wisdom, is not static. It is a process—one that moves through distinct phases:

  • Anticipation: The daring to dream, the shift from feeling lost to actively exploring. It is the Guess-Stational Phase, where the absence of a dream makes space for discovery. This is where audacity becomes autobiographical.
  • Participation: The phase of action, where the dream emerges from within and requires tending. Here, we chase the dream, nurturing it with time and care, knowing that for some, the process is swift, while for others, it unfolds over years. Your dream will let you know when it is ready to be born.
  • Transformation: The relational phase, where we live the dream—yet at some point, we must release it. We acknowledge that the dream now has its own path, and our role is to surrender, nourish, and stay tuned for what comes next. For in the end, we do not possess the dream—it possesses us.

These three phases serve as gateways, guiding you toward deeper engagement. Through Anticipation, we explore meaning and purpose, learning how to shift from pathology to possibility. Participation leads us into action, offering stories of courage and resources for mental health. Transformation reminds us that wisdom and healing are shared journeys, never owned but continually unfolding.

Each of these phases is a call to action—a step forward in the sacred process of blending wisdom, healing, and renewal.

Through MedicineSinging™, we invite you to join in this timeless alchemy, to bring your voice, your experiences, and your dreams into the fold, blending the wisdoms of the world into a medicine that nourishes and sustains us all.

Good Medicine: MedicineSinging

Music, dance, the pulse of vocables…

the rhythm of drumming – the fluidity of the flute…

like a good poem…

they move the body…

     and the body moved, become

the songs and stories of our lives.

You and me! Choreographers!

of the songs we sing… the chords we play-

the dances we dance… the stories that we tell,

the silence when all sounds are muted-

these become the way we move,

and the way we move others.

Even now as we meet it beats sixty to one hundred times a minute –

Isn’t it sweet that the entire group of us become a complete fleet as we

gather to greet feet tapping to the beat of the Juke box of the heart that

got its start before we were born or our hair was ever shorn, we were given

…the four chambers of the heart of MedicineSinging:

…Sacred Waters, Sacred Breath, Sacred Species and Sites, and Sacred Stories

Let us make a sworn covenant on this day: To listen to our hearts

and its words. To feel our bodies dance, sing its songs and

listen to its silences…  embedded stories – mine…yours…ours –

our ancestors! Flowing here within these bodies of water…

…this is the sacred Nature of Life,

…this is the embodiment of the Inner Voice, the Inner light…

It is the rhythm

of the Heart of MedicineSinging.
