Indigenous Plant Medicine: Growing a Deeper Connection with the Natural World with Tanya Ruka and Christine Luckasavitch

Online on Wednesday, March 1st, join CHN contributor Tanya Ruka and 2021 CHN editorial fellow Christine Luckasavitch for Indigenous Plant Medicine: Growing a Deeper Connection with the Natural World.
This is the second conversation in a three-part conversation series, ‘What Stories Does the Land Hold?,’ co-presented by the Center for Humans and Nature and The New School at Commonweal as part of the Center’s Questions for a Resilient Future series.
Across the world, Indigenous people share something in common: a connection to land and their Ancestral territories. This series of conversations spotlights a collection of Indigenous voices telling the stories of the land, connecting us to each other and to all of our relations.
In this conversation, join host Christine Luckasavitch with Māori artist, designer, activist, and researcher Tanya Te Miringa Te Rorarangi Ruka for a conversation about storytelling, community building, working alongside our plant relatives, and Indigenous futurisms. Tanya’s work is deeply rooted in Indigenous environmental knowledges, encouraging a deeper connection to ancestral place on a global scale through her artistic practices.
